Land Use Ordinance
  • Ordinance governing unincorporated areas of Barron County.
Farmland Preservation Plan - 2015

Barron County has participated in the Farmland Preservation Program for more than 30 years, since the adoption of the Farmland Preservation Plan in 1979. In 2009, the Working Lands Initiative became state law and with the new law came changes to the Farmland Preservation program. These changes required Barron County to update the previous Farmland Preservation Plan by the end of 2015. Document scanning
  • Improving accessibility to documents and creating an archive of records are the goals of this office project.
Floodplain Ordinance and Maps
  • The Zoning Office enforces the Floodplain Ordinance for the County. 
Process Applications and Issue Permits
  • Information on the rules and the the forms for the issuance of permits
Approve the Creation of Subdivisions
  • Information regarding the division or split of any parcel of land. 
Wisconsin Fund Program
  • Private Sewage System Replacement or Rehabilitation Grant Program
Sanitary Maintenance Program
  • This program documents the periodic maintenance of privately owned wastewater treatment systems commonly referred to as a septic system.
Non-Metallic Mining Operations - NR 135
  • This program documents the size of existing and new non-metallic mining operations, commonly referred to as gravel pits.
