WIS 25 Work in Barron County
Monday, August 21, 2017
On Monday, August 21, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is scheduled to begin an improvement project on WIS 25 between Barron and Ridgeland in Barron County. Improvements include the replacement of bridge decks on the Upper Pine Creek bridge, near the intersection of WIS 25 and County Highway U, and Lower Pine Creek bridge, near the intersection of WIS 25 and County Highway A.

Lunda Construction Company is the prime contractor for this $1 million project. The project is funded with a mix of federal and state transportation dollars.

Traffic impacts
Construction is scheduled from August 21 to November 2017.

Motorists can expect to encounter temporary signals and single lane closures at each of the bridges. County A, at the intersection with WIS 25, will be closed, due to the close proximity to the construction site. Motorists should seek alternate routes for access to County A. County U, at the intersection of WIS 25 will remain open at all times during construction. Construction will be occurring at both bridges simultaneously, so motorists will encounter two sets of signals along WIS 25.
