Thrive Barron County Shows Progress

Thrive Barron County is a partnership between public health, Cumberland Healthcare, Lakeview Medical Center, Marshfield Clinic, Marshfield Clinic Dental Center, Mayo Clinic Health System- Northland and Turtle Lake Medical Clinic.  These entities began a health assessment process with Barron County residents in 2011.  Now, in 2015, there are over 25 different organizations and multiple community members who are working together to address the top three health priorities chosen by the community:

  • Chronic Disease Prevention & Management
    • Pre-Diabetes
  • Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs
    • Prenatal Tobacco Use
    • Youth Connectedness to Adults
  • Mental Health
    • Promotion and Stigma Reduction
    • Access for Youth
