Replacement of the CTH A bridge over Sioux Creek, in the Town of Sioux Creek, will begin on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.
The cost of this project is $457,800.00 and is being funded under the Surface Transportation Program – Bridge Program. This program allows for 80 percent Federal funding and 20 percent County funding.
The project is scheduled to be completed in approximately eight weeks. The existing bridge is being removed and replaced, as well as some minor grading of the bridge approaches. This project is on an accelerated schedule to allow for a timely completion.
A signed detour will be provided using CTH I, CTH SS, and CTH A. Local travelers are encouraged to use alternate routes.
The Barron County Highway Department would like to remind you that when you encounter work zones, please pay attention as conditions may change. You are also reminded that the use of hand-held devices, such as cell phones, in a work zone is against the law. Please help protect yourself and all construction personnel by putting down the phone and paying attention to the road.
