Farmland Preservation Plan - 2015

Barron County has participated in the Farmland Preservation Program for more than 30 years, since the adoption of the Farmland Preservation Plan in 1979. In 2009, the Working Lands Initiative became state law and with the new law came changes to the Farmland Preservation program. These changes required Barron County to update the previous Farmland Preservation Plan by the end of 2015. Read more to view the new Farmland Preservation Plan which will guide the protection of farmland in the county for the next 10 years.
